About Your Designer
Hi, I’m Brandon Travis a Web Designer residing in Hickory, NC. Although I design websites for a living, one of my passions is creating race car schemes, car renderings, logos and t-shirts. Currently, I’m a full time Web Designer for Dynamic Technologies but I also freelance on the side. Part of my freelance work at this time is doing shirt designs for Icon Racewear (a sister company to Dirtwrap). I am a graduate of Applachian State University with a bachelors degree in Graphic Design and a minor in Advertising. I was born and raised in racing, I’ve been to tons of different tracks around the east coast. My mother use to run Hickory Motor Speedway, where I helped paint the walls around the track and did some graphic design work also. My younger brother use to race there as well, he won rookie of the year in both the late models and the 4 cylinder class where he later won a championship. I have raced gokarts around much of North Carolina racking up a lot of envelopes of money on dirt but also made a one start on asphalt where I finished 2nd. I have friends and family all in racing from officials, crew members, PR, and drivers of the top Nascar divisions. Here are a couple of the gokarts I drove. The first photo is from my first race I ever ran. I ran 35 and older that night and I was only about 17 at the time. The owner didn’t want me to go out there and with a big group of karts so 35 and older had the smallest number of karts. I ran two different number in my career, first it was 20 then I ran a plan yellow number 45 with blue numbers.
